his competitors used clear glass bottles to show that he only
used the best quality ingredients. Heinz Tomato Ketchup was
first established in the US in 1876 and unlike many other Ketchups
uses no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or thickeners.
Only the best quality sun ripened tomatoes make our ketchup
thick.
We are the only ketchup manufacturer who owns the tomato breeding
process and once in the factory we check our tomato ketchup every
12 minutes to guarantee it is always naturally thick and meets
Heinz's unique deep red colour. In total 75 quality checks
are performed between the arrival of the tomatoes from the fields
to ketchup bottles leaving the factory to ensure our ketchup meets
our high standards.
